Financial Services and the Legal Practice

Clients have always looked on their Professional Adviser as an all rounder, able to advise on a range of matters, including financial. However, the 1986 Financial Services Act and, perhaps more significantly, the 1995 Law Society Directives relating to financial services, have meant that legal practitioners must either be fully authorised to provide such advice, with all the expense, effort and uncertainty which that involves, or provide nothing, often leaving the client with no source of independent financial advice.

CMC

CMC is an independent financial adviser that specialises in helping professional practices widen the area of advice that they provide to their clients. Our approach to this can be tailored to suit your practices attitudes and philosophy.

  • Compliance - CMC takes full responsibility for all compliance issues.
  • Research - In a marketplace that is constantly changing, it is essential to keep abreast of all new developments. Our embrace of new technology means that we are always abreast of new market developments as they happen.
  • Professional Qualifications - All advisers at CMC have specialist qualifications and will only ever be instructed in areas in which they are highly qualified to act. We don't believe in a financial 'jack of all trades'
  • Impartiality - All independent financial advisers claim to be 'independent'. Our fee based account structures mean you can be certain that we really do have no 'hidden' bias
